Yes. Online registration, check-in, transfers, deferrals, refunds, waitlists — all free for any race director. We earn via a 6% service fee on each registration. You only pay for a per-event tier when you want operational tools (race-day app, volunteer management, sponsor tools).
Per-event tiers (Local/Regional/Festival) cover everything you need to run one event well — the participant app, volunteers, sponsors, scanning, and the full comms stack for that event's audience (manual + scheduled email and SMS, automated drips around your timeline). You buy them once per event. The HQ subscription is the cross-event year-round layer — hosted race website on a custom domain, cross-event audience spanning every race, vendor tracking, permits, contracts, advanced analytics. They're independent — buy one, the other, both, or neither.

Free registration is comparable, plus we include manual email broadcasts to your event's audience for free. Where we differentiate is the operational stack: per-event tiers add the participant race-day app, manual SMS, scheduled and automated sends within your event, volunteer scheduling, and sponsor tools. The HQ subscription replaces a Squarespace + Shopify + Mailchimp + QuickBooks + DocuSign + Asana stack — hosted race website on your domain, cross-event audience, vendor management, contracts, and permit tracking.
Yes. Pricing is per event, so you choose the tier that fits each individually. You can run one event on Local and another on Regional.
Not necessarily. If you're running one event a year, a per-event tier alone gets you the full comms loop for that event — manual email is free, SMS rides with the paid tier, scheduled and automated sends to your audience are included. HQ is for race directors running multiple events who want one master audience across every race, a year-round race website on a custom domain, or vendor / permit / contract tracking across the season.
Free events get a hosted page at your-event.endurancehq.app. With an HQ subscription, you can connect your own domain (e.g. yourrace.com) — domain registration and renewal are included while subscribed. Domains stay attached to you; if you cancel, the auto-renewal stops at the next cycle.
Manual email broadcasts are free and subject to fair use — typical race-director usage is well within normal limits, and we monitor for abuse. SMS is included with any paid event tier or HQ subscription; we cover the per-message Twilio cost at typical race-director volume.
Whether you're running a marquee event, managing a multi-race series, or just want to talk through what makes sense - we're here.
